They also learned about Ocean environmental impact even though you may not live by the ocean.
Some fun was had by all too.

Mrs. Goins’ 5th period students would like to thank their classmates and staff members who joined us in showing our concern and support for survivors of domestic violence by wearing purple on October 1st to kick off Domestic Violence awareness month. We have already begun meeting one of our goals for this project, which is simply shedding light on this issue in our community. Conversations are happening in homes and classrooms that we hope will impact families for generations. We would also like to thank Lawrence County Prosecutor Sam Arp and Victim Advocate Krystal Shetler for visiting and talking with our class about the need within our community for the kind of work we are doing.
