What an exciting day at Burris!!! We were visited by the very famous author, Bruce Coville. He has written over 100 books, including Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher, and our students' favorite, Goblins in the Castle. Ask your child to share something funny or interesting our guest shared today. Thank you Mrs. Miller and PTO for making this special day happen for our students!!!
A HUGE shoutout to our two Burris secretaries who keep the entire school running smoothly. We appreciate all you do for the staff and students at Burris.

Today is the day!! We can't wait to see you at Burris Family Night tonight from 5:30-7:00pm.
Tomorrow is the day!!! Our annual Burris Family Night. Please plan to attend from 5:30-7:00pm for games and food, Scholastic Book Fair, and community partners. Plus we will be raffling off some amazing prizes. And...a surprise food truck will be parked out front!
This week is very important for many of our third graders here at Burris. Several of our students will be taking IREAD-3 test on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please help us give them every bit of support by getting them to school on time, feeding them a healthy breakfast, and encouraging a good night's sleep. We have all worked so hard to prepare them for this test.
Don't forget about our Burris Family Night next Tuesday, March 11th.

Please make sure your child takes a look through our lost and found items. This will be cleaned out by the end of next week!
The dentist is coming to our school! The School Smiles on-site dental program provides on-site dental care at our school for ALL students that sign up to participate. The dental team will be set up inside our school. They accept Medicaid, private insurance, offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation. Registration is now open online at: www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup with over 100 languages to choose from when completing the online form. See the attached flyer for additional ways to register, don’t miss out!
