Mitchell Community Schools has partnered with School Smiles Dental Program to provide onsite dental care to our elementary students. School Smiles Dental Program will be coming to Burris Elementary on Wednesday December 13th, 2023 for
routine dental check-ups.
Treatment offered (but not limited to): dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, extractions, crowns, dental hygiene instructions. Our in-school dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for your child to receive gentle dental care from licensed local professionals. This is a completely optional service we want to offer to our students.
School Smiles will communicate directly with parents concerning dental care. Parents will be involved while having the convenience of a dental appointment right at their child's school!
All insurance is accepted including Medicaid and private insurance. A low cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance. Self pay rate is only $49!. That rate covers exams, x rays, cleaning, and fluoride.
Children who see a dentist regularly may have fewer health issues like:
● Early tooth loss due to dental decay
● Gum disease
● Heart disease
● Impaired speech development
We are here to help keep your child healthy, in school and learning.
FREE toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and other dental supplies will be given to every
child enrolled in the program!

Constellation Stage & Screen presents the Tony Award-winning Matilda the Musical this holiday season, on stage December 14-31 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
Matilda Wormwood is a gifted little girl armed with a sharp mind, a vivid imagination, and a love of books. Misunderstood by her cruel and unloving family, she is thrilled to begin school. Only one problem – the school is run by Miss Trunchbull, the evil headmistress who terrorizes the students with her strict discipline. Matilda soon takes a stand to defend her friends from Trunchbull’s wrath and outwit her unkind parents. Packed with high-energy dance numbers and astonishing stage magic, children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of this extraordinary little girl!
