Mitchell Community Schools has partnered with School Smiles Dental Program to provide onsite dental care to our elementary students. School Smiles Dental Program will be coming to Hatfield Elementary and Burris Elementary on February 7th, 2023 for routine dental check-ups. Treatment offered (but not limited to): dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, extractions, crowns, dental hygiene instructions. Our in-school dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for your child to receive gentle dental care from licensed local professionals. This is a completely optional service we want to offer to our students. School Smiles will communicate directly with parents concerning dental care. Parents will be involved while having the convenience of a dental appointment right at their child's school! All insurance is accepted including Medicaid and private insurance. A low cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance. Self pay rate is only $49!. That rate covers exams, x rays, cleaning, and fluoride. Register your child today at Hatfield or Burris Elementary! Forms went home with all students last week, forms need to be returned by Friday February 3rd. Land ho! Our 3rd Book Blast Treasure Chest winner has found the loot today. Congratulations, Alaiyah! We have more prizes to be awarded with our Book Blast event! The student with the highest dollar amount of contributions from each grade level will be awarded a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. The shopping spree is a fun way to add more books to your student’s home library!

Our Burris Champions were busy this weekend. Our Bluejacket Robotics team competed at Shawswick and made it to the finals. The Burris Beez dance team placed 2nd place in Jasper. Way to go friends!!
