Lawrence County Adult Education is registering for a *FREE* 3 day boot camp to brush up on skills needed to pass the HSE test and earn a High School Equivalency Diploma. Register by Wednesday, Nov. 9th at www.GetMyHSE.org
Burris teachers and staff had a party of their own today-FIESTA!! A big THANK YOU to El Compadre of Mitchell and our social committee and PTO for helping set up this yummy lunch today!

Mitchell Church of Christ is having their free winter coat giveaway on Saturday Nov. 12 from 10 to 1 in the Family Life Center of the church. We have new and gently used coats for all ages. There is no preregistration this year. We do ask that the person receiving the coat is present to try the coat on.
ReGeneration has a Christmas Decoration Sale on Saturday Nov. 5 from 9 to 1 in the Mitchell Church of Christ Family Life Center.

Today's career day at Burris was a HUGE success!! Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to share different career paths in our area. Thank you Mrs. Nicely for organizing an amazing experience for our students!
Yesterday after school, Burris teachers were able to get creative in our new Collab Lab. Thank you Mrs. Reed for introducing our new tools! #lifelonglearners #STEAM #makerspace
While we were enjoying our fall break, Burris custodians and maintenance staff were busy making our building beautiful!! Check out this new paint job in our stairwell!! Thank you Jamie, Darek, Darren, Anne, and Dee for all you do!!
The National Theatre for Children visited us today to share ways to conserve energy. Be sure to ask your child how to get a free energy savings kit sponsored by Duke Energy.
