Hatfield Students Hit the Road to Discovery!
Our Hatfield 2nd Graders had an amazing time at Careers on Wheels today at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds! Students explored different types of transportation and learned how they’re used in a variety of careers. Not only did they enjoy hands-on experiences, but they also discovered what it takes to succeed in these professions.
A huge thank you to all the businesses who made this possible, the Lawrence County Growth Council, and the collaboration between Mitchell and North Lawrence Community Schools for helping our Hatfield students learn and grow!

Reminder: MCS will be holding planned two-hour delay days on the second Wednesday of select months: September, October, November, January, March, and April. These days give teachers valuable time for collaboration and professional development to support student learning.
For Two-Hour Delays At Hatfield:
Car rider drop-off begins at 9:50 AM in the back.
Buses unload at the front at 10:00 AM.
No breakfast will be served on delay days due to lunch prep schedules.
Students may ride the bus or be dropped off—just two hours later than usual.
During these scheduled two-hour delays, teachers and staff will participate in valuable professional development meetings about reading, writing and math instruction, school safety, and social-emotional learning from 8:00-10:00 AM.
