Pajama Day for Team Peace â Monday!
This Monday will be a suggested $1 donation Pajama Day to support Team Peace. Team Peace works with our students to build positive behavior, strengthen social-emotional skills, and promote kindness, problem-solving, and respectful choices throughout the school day. Their work has made a meaningful impact at Hatfield, and weâre excited to support them, so grab those cozy PJs and help us spread peace!

Due to the heavy snowfall and extremely cold temperatures, Mitchell Community Schools will be implementing a synchronous eLearning Day on Monday, January 26, 2026. Mother Nature showed up big time! âď¸

Students will log in to Google Classroom on their Chromebooks
Students will join their teacher live via Google Meet
Live instruction may take place from 9:00â11:30 AM (teachers will provide a schedule that is flexible and subject to change if needed, so we appreciate your patience)

As we continue to monitor the winter weather forecast for next week, we want to share important information about how eLearning will work at Hatfield if school is impacted by weather. If an eLearning Day is called, Mitchell Community Schools will use synchronous eLearning, which is different from the self-paced asynchronous eLearning we have used in the past. With that being said, Chromebooks and chargers will being coming home with students on Friday of this week.
What does this mean for students?
Students will log in through Google Classroom on their Chromebooks
Students will join their teacher live using Google Meet
Live learning will take place from 9:00â11:30 AM
Teachers will be logged in and meeting with students for live instruction during this time
This approach is not self-paced. Teachers will be providing instruction live and may need flexibility as they work with schedules for instructional times. We appreciate your patience and understanding as teachers make these adjustments.

Today we celebrated the 101st Day of School, and our First Grade students made it extra special by connecting their learning to 101 Dalmatians! Through creative activities, students found exciting ways to make the 101st day count while showing off just how much theyâve learned so far this year.

đ To apply, students will complete a short writing response, draw a picture of something theyâd like to build, and turn in the application to the office by Thursday, January 15, 2026. Applications will come home with 2nd Grade students tonight (1/8/26).
â Spots are limited to 24 students, and sessions will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30â4:30 PM at Hatfield in Miss Brown's Classroom.
