MCS has begun the dismissal process. All after school ECA events and practices scheduled for tonight have been cancelled due to weather forecasts.
MCS is holding student/bus dismissal for a few minutes this afternoon due to weather conditions. We are monitoring conditions and will release as soon as weather permits.
MCS continues to monitor weather conditions. We will not be releasing students early today. We will keep all posted in regard to any after school event cancellations or possibly delaying student dismissal.
Mitchell High School would like to congratulate Mr. Kearns on his nomination for Ivy Tech's Dual Credit Teacher of the Year Award. Without teachers like Mr. Kearns going above and beyond in education, we would not be able to offer the Indiana College Core curriculum. Indiana College Core allows students to take college-level courses and complete their first-year general education courses in high school. Thank you for your dedication to our students Mr. Kearns!
Mitchell Jr. High Choir performed at ISSMA this weekend in Shelbyville and received a silver rating. They saw improvement in their scores from last year and were 1/2 a point away from receiving a gold overall. Great job Mitchell Choirs!!!
