BIG FUN coming to BURRIS!!
Next Tuesday, March 12 from 6-8pm, Burris will be hosting our Family Night. We will have community partners set up in the gym. Our Book Fair and Art Show will be taking place during this time. Students can play carnival games and even complete STEAM activities in our Collab Lab. Local businesses have donated items to be raffled off. Raffle Baskets include these themes-Pamper Yourself, Family Fun, Get Outdoors, and Jacket Pride. Come join us for all of this and more!!!

Last fall, Ms. Fields' class created symbolic monarch butterflies out of paper. They mailed them to Journey North, an organization that tracks migratory patterns. They were then sent to an educator in Mexico who delivered them to schools in Mexico. Sometime this spring, we should receive symbolic monarchs coming back from their overwintering in Mexico.

"I am currently working in Anchorage from midnight-6am. Folks out at the checkpoints report to us when mushers come in and then we get to update the website. Yes, I am loving every bit of this!"
Don’t forget that you and your students can now start tracking your mushers using the website and the GPS tracker. Email me if you have any trouble with that.
Today also starts our reading race! Each point that your student earns will move your grade level “down the trail” by 1 mile.
Here are some photos and videos to share with your students from the Restart in Willow today.
